Art Exhibition focuses on Lived Experience with Dementia

Yorkton's Godfrey Dean Art Gallery exhibition: Belong Where You Find Yourself runs April 5 to May 23.

The Godfrey Dean Art Gallery in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, is currently running a group exhibition Belong Where You Find Yourself which features multidisciplinary and multi-generational works created by individuals whose lives have been affected by dementia.

A reception will take place at the Gallery on Sunday, May 7th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

The Godfrey Dean Art Gallery received community funding from Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan to support this project which invites older adults living with dementia and their caregivers to create art. At the RaDAR Team's Annual Summit meeting in 2022, the gallery submitted a poster which elaborated on the project. Find their poster presentation on our Summit 2022 Archive.
