I am a fourth generation settler of Ukrainian and Swedish ancestry, and I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Treaty 6 territory and the Homeland of the Métis. I live with my spouse, 3 teenaged children and my 85-pound Cane Corso lap dog. I have been working in the field of health research for 20+ years, with a focus on community-partnered Indigenous health research. I currently work at USask as a Research Program Manager and Team Coordinator for Dr. Sarah Oosman, and Project Coordinator for the ‘Strong Bodies, Spirits & Minds” CIHR Team grant. I am passionate about research methodologies, community-engaged research, and decolonizing research. My MSc in Community and Population Health Science (USask) thesis project explored how health researchers at USask incorporate Truth and Reconciliation into their research with Indigenous communities.
