Supporting the Scaling up of RaDAR Memory Clinics

SPHERU Evaluation Report provides an assessment of scaling up RaDAR Memory Clinics in Rural Saskatchewan project

By RaDAR Website

The Rural Dementia Action Research (RaDAR) team led by Dr. Debra Morgan and Dr. Julie Kosteniuk received funding from the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit (SPHERU) for a project conducted from October 2022 to June 2024. The project’s purpose was to implement and sustain memory clinic services for dementia assessment and management in rural communities around Yorkton, supported through the five-year (2019-2024) Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan (DSRS) initiative. The DSRS initiative aimed to improve public awareness, social inclusion, and support for persons living with dementia and their care partners in Yorkton and the surrounding area. To read more on the work completed by the RaDAR Team, the SPHERU report is now available: Scaling up Rural Dementia Action Research (RaDAR) Memory Clinics in Rural Saskatchewan: Evaluation Report

The Esterhazy Memory Clinic Team, in partnership with RaDAR and Dr. Bonnie Jeffery (Lead, Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan), met with Honey Cut studios in October 2023 to create this video where the team takes us through a typical memory clinic visit.
