You are invited to participate in a study: Building community initiatives to reduce fall risk for people living with dementia in Saskatchewan.

Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan are recruiting volunteers to participate in a falls study. You may know that people living with dementia have a much higher risk of falling and sustaining a severe injury than people without dementia.

Dr Cathy Arnold and Dr Michaela Lynds from the School of Rehabilitation Science are researching the best methods to screen and assess the fall risk of people living with dementia, and they would like to hear about your experiences and opinions as a caregiver. 

• If you are a caregiver for a person living with dementia and you live in Saskatchewan, then your contributions to this study will have a real influence on work to reduce the incidence of falls and related injuries in people living with dementia.

• Your participation would involve the completion of an online survey which should only take around 15 minutes. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you would also like to participate in a follow-up interview via Zoom. This interview phase is not compulsory, but please do volunteer if you are able.
