Two successful defences at CCHSA!

Congratulations Roya Ganvaji and Robyn Reist!

Last week was a big one for the CCHSA Ergonomics Lab. Roya Ganvaji successfully defended her thesis titled "Penalized Regression Methods for Modelling Rare Events Data with Application to Occupational Injury Study". This was the final requirement for Roya's Masters in Bisotatistics.  Her work was funded in part by the Canada Research Chairs program and CCHSA Founding Chairs, with major funding from Mitacs and the Workers Compensation Board of Saskatchewan.

Robyn Reist also defended her thesis, titled "Risk Factors for Upper Extremity Musculoskeletal Symptoms among Bovine Veterinarians".  This was the final requirement for Robyn's Masters in Community Health and Epidemiology.  Her work was funded in part by the Canada Research Chairs program and CCHSA Founding Chairs, as well as the College of Medicine Graduate Student Scholarship.

Both students will be graduating at the November convocation ceremony. Congratulations and best wishes in your future endeavours!
