Service providers, older adults/ family members, members of the community at large, and those working in related professions (e.g. law enforcement/health) in the Prairie Provinces are welcome to attend.
The research team will begin with a brief summary of findings from a tri-provincial study on under reporting of abuse of community residing older adults in the Prairie Provinces, conducted between 2018 and 2020. Breakout sessions with workshop participants will identify promising practices, explore gaps of existing programs and services, and discuss next steps. The final facilitated discussion including all participants will explore proposed initiatives and identify next steps from the breakout sessions.
